Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Notts Rotary

The Rotary Club of Nottingham has undertaken to help raise the level of child literacy in the Nottingham City area.

Having identified the Dolly Parton Imagination Library as an effective way of helping to reach their goal they plan to raise sufficient funds to enable as many children as possible under the age of 5 to receive a free book through the post every month.

Once children are registered, parents will be encouraged to sit down with their children at an early age to start and learn to read. Children will build their self esteem in their expectation of a new book every month.

There are currently 7 such schemes operating in the UK.
