Fields in Trust

Fields in Trust permanently safeguards outdoor recreational spaces in perpetuity via a Deed of Declaration. This legal instrument is unique to Fields in Trust and is approved by the Charity Commission and allows them to act as a guarantor between any landowner and any potential future development.

The Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge is their current flagship UK-wide programme to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee and London Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as the 2014 Commonwealth Games by permanently protecting 2012 outdoor recreational spaces, working with a range of partners, trusts and foundations to achieve this ambitious goal. The Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge will give communities an opportunity to vote for an outdoor space in their area to become part of the scheme and be permanently protected as a tribute to the Diamond Jubilee.
